Like every other college student, I am busy, busy, busy. I am going from class to my internship to my job to class again and then some how I manage to slip in a little time for homework. With this busy lifestyle, it is so easy to take things for granted.
Lately, I have been taking my camera everywhere. I am a photographer, so this is a good habit and now that I constantly have my DSLR and my iPhone with me, I am always taking pictures. I find that this pushes me to look at nature and encourages me to glorify what God has created.
Taking Nature for Granted
There is so much beauty in this world that God has created and I feel as if many people take that for granted. Most of us go throughout our day performing our daily tasks that are required to do to live, but what if we actually do stop and “smell the roses”?
Why We Should Look At Nature
Taking the time to “stop and smell the roses” allows us to take a step back from the day and relax. It provides us with the perfect opportunity to see the beauty that God has created through nature with a little break from our busy day. Simply taking the time in nature allows us to glorify God and all that he has created.
Putting It Into Action
I encourage you to take a few minutes out of the day to soak in the beauty of nature that God has created. Whether you take a drive to the nearest beach or just a little stroll around your neighborhood, relax, and glorify all things that God has created.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
